A BJP spokesperson on Thursday said there has been no communication from Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s end about his return from the United States, raising further speculation about the CM’s return to Goa.
“There is no communication from his side. Exact date has not been specified. It will depend on doctors’ advice. His condition is good,” Goa Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Narendra Savoikar told a press conference at the party’s state headquarters here.
Parrikar is currently undergoing advanced treatment for pancreatic cancer in a New York hospital. He was shifted to the US in March, a month after he was first admitted in a Mumbai hospital for stomach pain, which was subsequently diagnosed as pancreatic cancer.
Goa BJP president Vinay Tendulkar had last month said Parrikar would be returning to Goa by the end of May.
