Huawei working on foldable Smartphone, comes sooner than expected

Huawei, the world’s third largest smartphone maker is now investing its money into the smartphone which can fold. There is a hype for that smartphone as even Apple and Samsung has the plans to do the same with their next generation smartphones. We have to wait and watch from the two biggest smartphone makers as there are many chances of not implementing by 2019.

As per a new patent, this company is said to be exploring the idea of a smartphone with a foldable display. Apple and Essential have created a barrier between the 18:9 aspect ratio phones the old 16:9 aspect ratio smartphones which made every other smartphones work with the notch just like Apple instead of the small camera notch from Essential as they can fit other sensors in that place.

Huawei, world’s third-largest smartphone maker is working on a technology that is futuristic to its core. As per a Dutch site LetsGoDigital, the patent from the smartphone maker was originally filed on September 19, 2017. However, the patent was recently published on the official website of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). So, this might be the chance for Huawei to overcome Samsung and Apple in this technology.

Even, recently the chinese smartphone maker, OnePlus CEO Carl Pei has said why they needed the notch on top of OnePlus 6. Microsoft is said to be working towards a Surface Phone which will be a foldable smartphone. No official word has come out about the smartphone from Microsoft. Sadly, that is also the case with Huawei’s device. We still don’t know anything about the mysterious smartphone from Huawei that is said to feature a foldable display.

In October 2017, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei, told CNET that the company had its hands on a “working sample” for a foldable smartphone. However, the CEO said the smartphone still needed a lot of work.
