Bollywood Actress Rani Mukerji Most Awaited Film Hichki Releasing on this Friday worldwide in a large number of screens. The actress was last seen in Mardaani (2014), which hit the screens after her secret wedding to Yash Raj Films, honcho Aditya Chopra.Although Rani was highly praised for her performance in Mardaani, the actress took four long years to sign her next film, Hichki. Nonetheless, the 40-year-old actress is all set to dazzle the silver screen with her talent and powerful performance all over again.

In the movie, “Hichki” Rani is a woman who turns her most daunting weakness into her biggest strength. Naina Mathur (Rani Mukerji) is an aspiring teacher who suffers from Tourette Syndrome. After several interviews and numerous rejections, she lands her dream job as a full-time teacher in one of the most elite schools in the city. However, she soon realises that the class she has been assigned comprises of defiant and impish students who can’t seem to keep out of trouble. Despite a few initial hiccups, Naina must do whatever she can to ensure that her students realise their true potential, and defy all the odds against them.

Hichki features Rani Mukherji in the lead role. Other supporting cast include Harsh Mayar, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Kunal Shinde among others. Rani played a tough role. She is seen very convincingly portraying the character of someone suffering from Tourette Syndrome. The light moments which are seamlessly blended into the movie has made it more interesting.Hichki too brings to screen the inspirational story of a teacher’s relationship with her students. A teacher has always been shown as someone who embraces the imperfections of his/her students, here the onus is on the students on how they accept their teacher with speech impairment.

The film bankrolled by Yash Raj Films is inspired by the story of American motivational speaker and educator Brad Cohen, whose book Front of The Class was earlier translated on the screen in 2008 American film Front of The Class.

As per early estimates, Hichki is expected to collect around Rs 3 crore net at the Indian box office on its opening day. Although Hichki is having a solo release, the film’s strongest competitor is Ajay Devgn’s Raid, which has been running successfully in the theatres.
